da Vinci Robotic Surgery System

Depending on the most advanced technology available today, CMIRS uses the da Vinci Surgical System which enables surgeons to perform delicate and complex operations through a few tiny incisions with increased vision, precision, dexterity, and control.

The da Vinci Surgical System consists of several key components, including an ergonomically designed console where the surgeon sits while operating, four interactive robotic arms, a 3DHD vision system, and proprietary wristed instruments.

Dr. Prebil and Dr. Walters use the current Gen (Xi) and the new da Vinci 5, allowing them to be at the forefront of robotic technology for our patients. The da Vinci 5, which came on board in late 2024, offers broader anatomical access, enhanced ease of use, and complete integration of the most advanced da Vinci® technology.

Robotic surgery has been shown to offer numerous patient benefits, such as shorter hospital stays, faster recovery, reduced pain, smaller incisions, and less blood loss compared to other types of surgical procedures.
